Paul and Kim Hassell

Paul and Kim Hassell have spent their married life in ministry. Currently they are starting a house church in the Gulf Atlantic Diocese. They were both on staff with InterVarsity Christian fellowship in Ohio. Kim moved on to homeschooling their children and Paul continued with IV for 25 years. God has given them opportunities to go on mission projects to China, Russia, and Jamaica. In 2000, God also called them to the foster/adoption journey. Two of their five children are adopted. God called the Hassells out of campus ministry and into church planting. After planting an Anglican church in Pittsburgh PA, God has opened the doors for planting in Florida. Seeking to marry their long commitment to small group ministry and church planting, the Hassells are planting a house church in the urban core neighborhood of Springfield in Jacksonville FL. Passion for scripture, intercultural ministry, equipping people for ministry, and evangelism has this couple expectant about how God will grow his church to reach the city of Jacksonville.

Partnership and collaboration in the body of Christ are key to ministry, so the Hassells are also partnering with a Mt. Sinai Baptist (a historically black congregation in Springfield) to build an intercultural worship community.
