Launch Week is the starting place for Greenhouse Mission Staff, church planters, lay pastors, interns, and regional leaders. Our vision is to train leaders, multiply congregations and empower movements by following the leading of the Holy Spirit together for the spontaneous expansion of the Church.

The Launch Week schedule includes prayer and worship, vision and values, connection with key leaders, testimonies and critical trainings sessions on ministry skills and Ministry Partner Development. We only host the Launch Week in Chicago because it’s critical to immerse everyone in the culture that has been growing for over a decade. Our congregations in Chicago are established in the following communities: urban, campus, nursing home, Latino, and African American.

The Launch Week begins on a Sunday and ends on a Friday and includes training for those raising financial support through Ministry Partner Development (MPD) as a Greenhouse employed mission staff. You must apply and interview before registering for Launch Week.

What is MPD?
Ministry Partner Development is the core process Greenhouse mission staff use to raise funds for salary and ministry expenses. Mission Staff learn to share a clear, concise, and compelling story that includes a personal testimony, the needs of a mission field, the Gospel, and a direct ask for partnership. MPD training is taught by mission staff who have raised funds themselves.

Should I come to launch week?
The full launch week is required for those joining Greenhouse Mission Staff and raising support. Mission staff typically begin their employment at launch week. Only those who have applied, interviewed and been offered a position should register for Launch Week (if attending Launch Week Please plan to arrive on Saturday and depart on Friday).

The first half of Launch Week, we also call the “Explore Greenhouse Weekend” (Sunday, 10:00am – Tuesday, 12pm). This is the perfect opportunity for connecting leaders, mission supervisors, friends and partners with the Greenhouse vision and culture. Anyone can join the Explore Greenhouse weekend, without application and interview.
